The Sherwood Forest Faire (http://www.sherwoodforestfaire.com/) is set in 1193 A.D. England. the time of Robin Hood and his woods men.

Renaissance and Medieval Festival in Hillsboro, Texas

Who likes to work all the time? Not me!!!!

The Texas Renaissance Festival is one of the nation's largest, most acclaimed renaissance theme parks where the sights, sounds, tastes and beauty of the 16th Century come alive. The festival is held in 54 acre recreated 16th Century English village known as New Market Village. The Village is holding its annual harvest festival honoring the visiting King Henry VIII and his queen, Catherine of Aragon.

Nobles and plain folk will celebrate our historical and cultural roots from the 15th - 17th centuries. Wizards and dragons, Lords and ladies, minstrels and fairies, players and actors will tread the boards, noble steeds and exotic creatures will gather to make merry and celebrate the season.
